You may or may not be aware that Canada is undergoing a massive transformation of its payments infrastructure. As a newer company that provides consumers and businesses payments solutions, we want to make sure you have the opportunity to participate in the event, and gain a deeper understanding of the Payments Modernization initiative, and how it will impact us as a nation, as an industry and as individuals.
We also want to help you engage with potential clients!
The Startup Lounge will run for the full duration of the Payments Canada Summit from May 9th to 11th at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto.
It will cost startups $200+tax/representative (maximum of 2). That includes access to the conference, the lounge and all meals over the span of the conference.
Are there any fees to be featured in the Startup Lounge?
There is a $200+tax fee per representative. You can register up to 2 people.
How many startups will be featured in the Startup Lounge?
We hope to have around 15-20 companies attend the Startup Lounge.
What is included in the Startup Lounge fee?
One ticket to the Payments Canada Summit for the duration of the conference and all meals over the span of the conference! No other fees.
Will I have space to set up a banner and promo material?
Startups will be able to set up their banners around the edges of the room. There will be no dedicated area for individual startups to set up a table. You will promote your company by wearing a t-shirt with the company name or logo, and can have your tablet or mobile device as your way to demonstrate your product. We will make sure attendees know where to find you.
What is the commitment of startups to be featured?
Other than the $200+tax fee/representative, we need you to make sure someone will be in the lounge as much as possible during the conference.
Can a startup bring more than one representative?
Additional representatives (max of one additional representative, two representatives in total) can be added for an additional $200+tax.
Who can apply to be featured in the Startup Lounge?
Companies focused on payments solutions whether as start-ups or more established companies should apply.
When will applicants hear back on if they have been accepted to be featured in the Startup Lounge?
Applications are accepted until 5:00pm EST on Friday April 27th, 2018, however preference will be given to those who apply early.
The selection process is on a first-come first-serve basis, if 20 companies are chosen then the application may close early.
I have been selected to be featured in the Startup Lounge, how do I get my ticket?
FGS will send startups a special code the startups can use to register for The SUMMIT.
Are travel and accommodations included?
Travel and accommodations are not included. The Summit has a block of rooms at The Westin Harbourfront with shuttles to and from the conference. Please book rooms under the Summit's block in the hotel - they can do this as part of the registration process (after registering, the hotel will contact them directly with a confirmation number and payment options).
